Karnataka Govt Makes It Easy For Tourists

The Karnataka department of tourism, as part of its initiative to improve infrastructure, has initiated the installation of tourism signages at various locations across the state. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 52 lakh.
Confirming to the standards specified by the World Tourism Organisation, these pictograms will include a location board as well as a description of the monument or the site.
The first such signage was installed at Mysore Road, which is one of the prominent highways for tourists in the state.
Signages will also be installed at 129 tourist hot spots, 13 tourist bases and 116 tourist destinations across the state in a phased manner.
