Mamata Banerjee to announce Rail Budget at 1200 hrs

Mamata Banerjee's second Railway Budget under the UPA government will be announced today at 1200 hrs. Even before the announcement following developments were seen at the Bombay Stock Exchange.

* Railway stocks were gain in the range of 2% to 3%, ahead of the Railway Budget which is present today.

* Titagarh Wagons, Texmaco, Stone India, Kernax Microsystems and Hind Rectifers appreciated between 2% and 3% each on the BSE.

* The industry chambers are seeking greater public-private participation (PPP) in the expansion of railway infrastructure and upgradation of technology.
