Medha Patkar, others still in detention

Social activist Medha Patkar and 21 of her supporters arrested on Sunday night in Chindwara, Madhya Pradesh, continued to be in detention, as bail was denied to them. The arrests followed a police clamp on protests against the water diversion project of the Pench power plant in the district.
