Media should have penal provisions for irresponsible reporting: Javadekar

Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday described the Press Council of India as a "toothless wonder." Stressing on the need for media to develop "self-mechanisms (that) should have provision for penal action for irresponsible reporting", he said no freedom comes without responsibility.
