Middle East ad agency launches mobile app to explore Mumbai

Flip Media, an advertising agency in the Middle East, has launched an iphone and ipod application that will help people know and explore Mumbai on the go through an interactive map.

Using the Mumbaikar application, both residents of the city and visitors can find out restaurants, events, the nearest 24-hour pharmacy or a pizza place based on where they are located.

"More and more people are accessing information on the go through mobile applications. Digital is not just about building websites, but providing access to the right information at the right time," Flip Media CEO Yousef Tuqan said.

The company is also working on more versions of the product.

"This is the first version of the product. We already have additional features under development in the pipeline that further maximise the capabilities of the iPhone," Tuqan said.

The Mumbaikar application was developed over three months and has received over 250 downloads from Apple Store before its official marketing launch.
