Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) is considering the possibility of introducing `flexible bandwidth', when it becomes an Internet service provider.
A flexible bandwidth facilitates transfer of more data on a particular band. For example, in the case of a consumer on a 64 kb bandwidth requiring a 120 kb data transfer at some peak hour, the leased line would automatically accomodate 120 kb data transfer.
Moreover, the service is provided to the consumer at no extra charge.
