The amount has been sanctioned for widening and strengthening of 37.18 km of rural roads in Kaithal and Jhajjar districts.
Employment
The construction of roads would provide all-weather connectivity to remote villages, marketing centres (krishi mandis), and several educational and public health institutions, among others.

The project is expected to generate about 4.97 lakh mandays of non-recurring employment during implementation.
During the year, 41 projects involving Rs 302.81 crore has been sanctioned from Nabard mainly for rural roads, bridges, rural drinking water supply. The disbursement during the year in the state so far is Rs 86.94 crore.
