NAC to hold its first meet after rejig

The reconstructed National Advisory Council (NAC), headed by United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, will hold its first meeting on Thursday.

Sources said no fixed agenda had been set by Gandhi for the meeting of the top advisory body to the UPA government on social issues. “But the meeting is important as it will chart the road map for the second NAC tomorrow,” said a member of the council.
