Congress General Secretary, Digvijay Singh said today that there was no way in which he would join the next government at the Centre.
"There was absolutely no question of my joining the next government at the centre which will be headed again by Manmohan Singh," he told PTI on phone from New Delhi.
Singh said that although he was Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister for 10 long years, before that he was state Congress President for a long time.
"I always prefer to work for the organisation rather than the government. I would love to be outside the government rather than inside it," the minister said.
Singh said that he is still abiding by his promise made before the December 2003 Assembly polls in the state that he would not contest any election for 10 years if it lost them.
"I think I will contest an election in 2014," he said.
