The Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry in Solan will seek help and expertise in horticulture crops from Florida University in the United States.
 
Vice-Chancellor of the Parmar University Jagmohan Singh has just returned to Solan from Florida University after signing the MoU there.
 
The agreement between the two universities will last till June 2009. "The primary objective of this agreement is the development of co-operative efforts between the universities," said Singh.
 
"The agreement would also promote exchange between the faculty and students of the two institutions and exchange of academic and research information on selected projects," he said.
 
"Florida University has done good work in horticultural crops and its rich experience will definitely help the Parmar University which will benefit farmers in Himachal," Singh said.
