Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC)-promoted Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Georgia Institute of Technology (GATECH), Atlanta, GA, USA for establishing Center for Excellence in Energy and faculty and student exchange programs.
While PDPU provides courses in energy education and conducts research with special focus on the oil and gas, solar and nuclear engineering fields, GATECH is research led technical university having $ 500 Mn research budget every year. With almost 1000 faculty involved in research, the institute conducts research in the areas of solar, nuclear, electricals and transportation. GATECH also has campuses in France, Singapore and Costarica.
