PEC invites bids for sale of 20,200 MT yellow peas

The minimum bid quantity is 3,000 MT. PEC reserves the right to offer more quantity for sale from any of the go-downs to successful bidders. The yellow pea in the country is estimated at 15.19 MT in 2007-08 crop year, compared to 14.20 MT in the previous season.

The domestic demand of pulses stands at around 17-18 MT. The gap is expected to be met through imports.
