Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today called on President Pratibha Patil and briefed her about the consensus resolution passed in Parliament on Lok Pal Bill.
"The Prime Minister briefed the President about the ongoing session of the Parliament and also on the consensus resolution passed in both Houses of the Parliament on August 27, 2011 on matters relating to the Lok Pal Bill," a Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson said.
The meeting lasted for about half-an-hour, the spokesperson added.
Seventy-four-year-old Gandhian Anna Hazare broke his 12-day-old fast at the Ramlila Maidan here after securing Parliament's nod on key elements of the Jan Lok Pal Bill.
