The Maharashtra government has restricted the supply of electricity to eight industrial districts in the Western parts of the state between midnight and eight am up to June 5.
Apart from restricted power supply to the regions, that include Pune, Satara, Sangli, Nanded, Parbhani, Hingoli, Sholapur and Kolhapur, the government has also directed all residential units to refrain from making use of air-conditioners.
Similarly, street lights would be non-functional between 6 pm and 10 pm in the period, till the faulty transmission towers are operational.
