The Porbandar Fishing Boats Association has demanded a high level probe in the diesel pump scam. The president of the association, Jivanlal Jungi has written to the state fisheries minister asking for an independent inquiry into the scam that has duped around 1,200 fishing boat owners. | |
| He observed, in the letter, that the scamsters must have colluded with the state fisheries department officials. "We have demanded a high level probe either by the CID or CBI," Jungi said on Friday. |

| Jungi said that, the association has also demanded the replacement of the irregular and outdated dispensers of the co-operative pump and its operating staff. |
