PSBs must shun adhocism in recruitment: Govt

Expressing displeasure over recruitment practices in public sector banks (PSBs), the government has asked PSBs to shun adhocism in clerical cadre recruitment and instead, adopt systematic long-term planning.

Many banks have spoken about large intake in clerical cadre, but there doesn’t seem to any clear approach, said B C Chaturvedi, additional secretary (financial services) in the finance ministry, adding there were questions about liabilities from career spanning three decades in banks.
