| The sector employs close to 5 lakh employees in the state and about 37 lakh in the country. |
| "In the next five years, with the kind of investment by petrochemical giants in the country, the plastics sector in India is likely to add another 36 lakh employees. West Bengal at the same time will add 6 lakh employees in the next five years," Seksaria said. |
