The Himalayan Ski Village (HSV) company has obtained a court stay order against the Himachal Pradesh government’s notice for cancellation of the agreement signed with the firm for the proposed $300-million (Rs 1,327 crore) ski village project.
The HP high court order has asked the state government to file its reply in the matter by May 17.
The HSV, promoters of the ambitious project have challenged the state government’s recent decision alleging it was a malafide stance and not in accordance with agreement signed with the company some two years ago.
“The project has been delayed for the last one and a half years. The court’s decision has come as a big relief to us, it will now determine our future plans,” said MD of the HSV John Sims. The ski village is proposed over 300 hectares overlooking the popular resort town of Manali.
