Review Of Assam Poll Roll Revision

The AASU had announced boycott of the recent assembly by-elections in the state. Gill visited the state and on his return the Election Commission announced intensive revision of electoral rolls in the absence of chief election commissioner T N Seshan.

Seshan has meanwhile declared the order on revision ofelectoral rolls void. The issue is expected to be discussed today when Seshan, Gill and the other election commissioner, G V G Krishnamurty, meet, sources said.
