Season's first snowfall in Himachal

Many of the Himachal Pradesh’s popular tourist destinations received the season’s first snowfall on Thursday. According to the local weather office, the snowfall has been light to moderate and will continue till Friday. Manali in the Kullu valley and the ski-resorts of Narkanda and Kufri received snowfall, blocking the Hindustan Tibet highway beyond Shimla. Dalhousie and Khajjiar in the Chamba valley, tribal belt of Kinnaur, Pangi, Lahaul and Spiti received yet another spell of snowfall.The 13,050 ft high Rohtang pass recorded heavy snowfall. Flights to Shimla could not take place due to heavy fog hail and rain in the city.
