S R Hiremath, founder of SPS told reporters, here on Tuesday that a review petition would be filed before the forest bench very soon as directed by the Apex Court.
He said, the Forest Bench which had given an 81-page final judgment in Phase 1 of the PIL filed by the SPS dated April 18, 2013, dismissed the 'Application for Direction' on August 26. However, the three-judge bench headed by A K Patnayak has asked the SPS to file a review petition.
Accordingly, the SPS is preparing a review petition based on the said 'Application for Direction' and will file the same before the Forest Bench, Hiremath said.
"The SPS reiterates its firm decision to take the issue of illegal mining and related issues to its logical conclusion. In this regard, the SPS expresses its serious concerns about the misleading and mischievous statements of some vested interests to misinterpret the judicial action of the Forest Bench," he said and urged the public not to be misled by vested interests.
