November 29, 2008:
Seeks permission for sanction under Section 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, because of allegations against Swan Telecom and Unitech and alleged breach of Clause 8 of unified access service licences

May 30, 2009:
Swamy’s second letter seeks to know what transpired at the hearing of a PIL in the Delhi High Court by one Aravind Gupta. Swamy says, the alleged oral observations in the PIL constitute a judicial opinion.

October 23, 2009 and October 31, 2009:
Two more letters are received. The first notes that CBI has raided Sanchar Bhawan and alleges: “This makes it amply clear that the minister had committed offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act for which your sanction for prosecuting the minister has been left to be only a formality”.
The second letter says if sanction is not granted by November 15, 2009, he would approach the courts.
