BJP's Lok Sabha candidate from Pilibhit Varun Gandhi is likely to move the Supreme Court tomorrow to seek a stay on the FIR lodged against him for making inflamatory speeches in his constituency, sources close to him said today.
They told PTI here that Varun had not yet received the orders of the Allahabad High Court which had yesterday dismissed his plea for quashing the FIR against him.
He is likely to get the papers today and move the apex court tomorrow, they said.
The anticipatory bail granted to him by the Delhi High Court will also expire tomorrow.
The FIR was lodged against Varun in Pilibhit after CDs showed him making inflamatory speeches against the minorities surfaced.
The Election Commission has already censured 29-year-old Varun and suggested that BJP should not field him as a candidate.
