"For agro-based industries one has to own land and if that does not happen, then the government will provide land if possible," Ghatak said on the sidelines of a programme here.
"We will give clearances to agro-based projects within 45 days of applying," he said. Underlining that the Trinamool Congress government was giving ample importance to agro-based industries, Ghatak said the state government was sincere in its efforts in uplifting the farmers in the state.
"We have already distributed 60 lakh Kishan credit cards. Under this scheme, farmers will get ~50,000 loan, at an interest rate of seven per cent," the minister added.
