Rebel Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Ram Kripal Yadav, who is keen to contest from the Patliputra Lok Sabha seat in Bihar against RJD chief Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti, met BJP president Rajnath Singh here Tuesday.
"I met Rajnath Singh at the airport. I will tell you the details of the meeting later," Yadav told reporters.
Party Sources said Yadav may soon join the BJP.
However, BJP vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said: "We can't say anything on the basis of expectations. Unless someone joins the party, nothing can be said."
Yadav, who used to be close to RJD chief Lalu Prasad, has been at odds with his party after the RJD chief's daughter Misa was named the candidate from the Partliputra seat.
Yadav is presently the only RJD member in the Rajya Sabha.
