Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at the grand JD (U)-RJD-Congress alliance by Nitish Kumar, saying they were promoting politics of opportunism.
"They gave such a bad government for all these years. Can you trust them?. Before you vote, ask yourselves- this 'mahaswarthbandhan' have they done anything for Bihar for 60 years. Shouldn't Lalu ji, Sonia ji and Nitish ji tell what they did for welfare of the people of Bihar in the last 60 years?" he said while addressing a rally in Bihar's Begusarai district.
Pitching his development agenda, Prime Minister Modi said that this land has tremendous scope for growth in the agriculture sector.
"Sadly, many polls were fought in the name of poor but nothing was done for them. The rich don't need the government. When a poor man gets sick, he has no support apart from the government," said Prime Minister Modi.
"There are no questions on what will be the result of Bihar polls. Bihar has decided to bring in the NDA Government," he added.
With just three days remaining for the campaigning for phase one to conclude, leaders from all political parties are making all attempts to woo the voters in the state.
Campaigning for this phase will end at 5 pm on Saturday. Polling for this phase will be held on October 12.
Meanwhile, today is the last date of filing of nominations for the third phase of the assembly polls. Polling for this phase will be held on October 28.
