"Last week, we held a workshop on our re-branding and we are in full preparedness to move ahead. We are confident of completing the process within 4-5-months of receiving clearance," Sanyal said.
The bank is now awaiting the green signal from its headquarters in The Netherlands and expects it in a few months.
"The intent to proceed at the earliest is clear - it is just that a few integration issues still need to be resolved. A clearer picture will emerge by end-June," Sanyal said.
The Reserve Bank, which has been "most receptive" is being constantly kept appraised of developments and "we hope to get clearance from the banking regulator soon after putting in our application," Sanyal said.
A consortium led by the RBS along with Fortis of Belgium and Santander of Spain had taken over ABN for Euro 70-billion last year necessitating the re-branding.
Re-branding work on various aspects including signages and collaterals will commence as soon as headquarters gives its go-ahead, Sanyal said.
