Adsul Pitches Hard For Separate Coop Body Under 4th Rbi Dy Gov

Union minister of state for finance Anandrao Adsul today said he will push hard for the creation of a separate supervisory board for inspection/ supervision of urban co-operative banks (UCBs) under a fourth deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India.

The minister has decided to take up this issue with the prime minister and the finance minister.

As financial misdemeanours in the UCB sector are surfacing with uncanny regularity, Adsul felt that it is but appropriate they get the undivided attention of a separate board.
