Aegon Religare Life Insurance, a joint venture of the Netherlands-based Aegon and India's Religare Enterprises, plans to double its headcount to 3,600 in the next financial year.
Aegon Religare Life Insurance Chief Marketing Officer Yateesh Srivastava said that the insurance company is planning to hire 1,800 insurance professionals to take the headcount to 3,600 by next fiscal.
"We will also hire 10,000 insurance advisers in this period to strengthen our existing network," he said.
The insurer has targeted a premium amount of Rs 240 crore in the current financial year.
"The next year business plan will be finalised by the end by March. "Keeping with the growth, Jaipur is an important market for us. Three per cent of our overall business comes just from Jaipur. We expect the business from Jaipur to rise considerably," he said.
The company, which started operations in July 2008, has a capital base of Rs 550 crore with over 50,000 customers across 52 branches in the country.
