Andhra Bank net up 10%

Andhra Bank posted 10.19 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 146.77 crore for the quarter ended September 2006 against Rs 132.89 crore recorded during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
 
Operating profit during the period stood at Rs 223.09 crore, compared with Rs 200.51 crore in the same period last year.
 
The bank's total income at Rs 900.75 crore was 19.58 per cent higher than Rs 753.23 crore in Q2 of 2005-06. Earnings per share of Rs 10 each (not annualised) stood at Rs 3.02.
