Gramin Bank to go on nationwide strike
About 69,000 officers and employees of 88 regional rural banks across the country would participate in the strike. The union is demanding implementation of Banking Pension Settlement, 1993 and 2004 in RRBS, parity with sponsor banks in payment of all other allowances and benefits and service conditions as directed by the Supreme Court, continuance of the compassionate appointment scheme, 1982 in RRBs, proper and uniform manpower planning, recruitment and promotion policy in RRBs
