K R Kamath takes over as Allahabad Bank CMD

Bank of India Executive Director K R Kamath has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of Kolkata-based Allahabad Bank.

"I have been assigned as the Chairman and Managing Director of Allahabad Bank," Kamath told PTI here today.

The appointment has come after A C Mahajan, who was earlier serving as CMD of Allahabad Bank, took over as the chief of Canara Bank last month.
