No equity recast for PNB

The Union cabinet on Friday approved the equity restructuring of only the Punjab & Sind Bank, and not Punjab National Bank as wrongly reported yesterday. The error is regretted. The equity restructuring of Punjab & Sind Bank would enable it to go for an IPO or private placement of shares.
