Thomas Cook has announced a tie up with Allpoint Network enabling its prepaid foreign currency card users surcharge free usage at 55,000 ATMs in the US, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom and Australia.
Thomas Cook's COO (foreign exchange) Mahesh Iyer said that the partnership will result in substantial savings for Indian travellers.
Card users typically pay $ 2-5 as surcharge for accessing ATM in premium locations in the US and the transaction charge has been a deterrent, Thomas Cook said.
Now "Borderless prepaid card" users will be able to use the cards at US ATMs without paying surcharge.
