Volumes in government bond market were thin on lack of buying interest.

Prices of bonds fell by around 5 paise across maturities.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year gilt closed nearly flat at 7.92 per cent.

The overnight call rate too was flat at 5.80 per cent. RBI absorbed around Rs 42,195 crore through reverse repo auctions.
