Rs 5.8 cr to be disbursed to remaining Krushi Bank depositors
Disbursement of cheques to the remaining 389 depositors of Krushi Urban Cooperative Bank, which is under liquidation, will be done from March 16-22 at the Nampally Court Complex.
According to the Additional Director General of Police (CID), who is the official liquidator, 489 depositors out of the 878 affected had submitted their claims during the first schedule from October 19-29, 2010, and an amount of Rs 8.25 crore had been distributed among them.
This followed a direction by the 1st Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Hyderabad, to the liquidator for disbursement of funds raised from the sale of properties of the promoters and managers of the bank.
The second schedule disbursement of Rs 5.81 crore will be made under the supervision of Metropolitan Sessions Judge Syam Prasad and the in-charge secretary of Metropolitan Legal Services Authority Chandrasekhar Prasad.
Eligible depositors should check the date on which their cases will be taken up for verification and payment on the CID website: www.cid.ap.gov.in. The claimants are required to bring along with them the following original documents: acknowledgement given by liquidator, two passport-size photographs, proof of residence, photo identity card, bank account statement in the name of the depositor, indemnity bond on non-judicial stamp paper, legal heir with succession certificate, and guardian of a minor with necessary proof.
