IBPS Changes Agri Officer Eligibility for Candidates to Apply

There is some latest news coming from the IBPS camp.Its not related to clerk results but regarding their upcoming IBPS SO exam 2016.The recruitment of Specialist Officers in public sector banks is normally conducted done through IBPS.They have now decided to open the online application links for Agriculture field officer post after a recent change in the eligibility criteria for that specific position.

The IBPS SO notification was announced in November 2015 for various specialist officers including Agriculture Field Officer, IT Officer, Marketing Officer, HR Officer etc.,

Changes in Agri Officer Eligibility

Candidates who were interested to apply for Agriculture Field Officer (scale I) post had to posses a 4 year degree as on December 12, 2015.

Existing degrees: Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/ Agri. Engineering/ Fishery Science/ Pisciculture/ Agri Marketing & Cooperation/ Co-operation & Banking/ Agro-Forestry.

Initially only those who had completed graduation in the above disciplines were able to register.

But as per the latest corrigendum issued by IBPS, individuals with the following degrees are also eligible to apply.

Newly added degrees: Forestry, Agricultural Biotechnology, Food Science,Agriculture Business Management.

If you are a person with the above educational qualifications but had already applied before Jan 24, your registration will be cancelled.

How to Apply?

The online registration links for Agri Officer alone will be opened by IBPS from January 24 to 31, 2016 on their website.

Candidates belonging to the above newly listed disciplines can fill in the application form just like any other bank exams.The application fee shall be Rs.600 & Rs.100 (SC/ST/ PWD only) that must be paid online only.

Except for these changes in the criteria, all other conditions remain the same as per previous IBPS SO advertisement.

The revised date of online exam for the post of Agriculture field officer will be mentioned in the call letter.

Many candidates were surpised to see their IBPS SO written exams being postponed from the earlier date of January 30 & 31, 2016.We think now you all know the reason.
