Government is fully committed to promote the various streams of AYUSH system of medicine: Shri Shripad Naik The Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry AYUSH, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik has said that the Government is fully committed to promote the various streams of AYUSH system of medicine including Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Siddha etc. He was speaking at a Seminar on Yoga and Spirituality at Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh today. Shri Shripad Naik said that it was on the initiative of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi that a separate Ministry of AYUSH was created to develop and promote these systems of medicine. Not only this, it was due to the efforts of the Prime Minister that Yoga has got a high level of international recognition now and 21st June was celebrated as the International Yoga Day, the Minister added. Highlighting the importance of Yoga, Shri Shripad Naik explained that it is not only a health practice but also a means to unite the people due to its inherent connection with the mind. Several Yoga experts also demonstrated the Yoga poses at today's function.
