Indian Railways' Freight Loading up by 4.60 per cent during April-August 2014

Indian Railways carried 445.73 million tonnes of revenue earning freight traffic during 1st April- 31st August 2014. The freight carried shows an increase of 19.59 million tonnes over the freight traffic of 426.14 million tonnes actually carried during the corresponding period last year, registering an increase of 4.60 per cent.
