President of India condoles the passing away of Smt Kamla Advani The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away of Smt. Kamla Advani, wife of Shri Lal Krishna Advani. In a condolence message to Shri Lal Krishna Advani, the President has said, I am deeply distressed to learn about the sad demise of your wife, Kamla. She was the anchor of your life and constant companion through all ups and downs. I fondly recall her many visits to the Rashtrapati Bhavan accompanying you and her endearing presence. She was soft, cultured and left a lasting impression on whomsoever she met. As someone who lost his spouse recently, I feel your pain and sudden sense of loss. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and convey the same to all members of your family. I pray to the Almighty to give you and your family the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss."
