Richmond County sheriff's officials said in a news release that one person was shot at Paine College in Georgia. The shooting today prompted a lockdown at Paine and several nearby campuses, including Georgia Regents University.

The condition of the person shot at Paine was not immediately clear. The shooting came a day after another shooting on Paine's campus, though it was not known if the two incidents are related.
