Co-operative Institute of Management and Technology (CIMAT), Thiruvananthapuram, is all set to start an advanced training in integrated IT and Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
A first-of-its-kind programme in Kerala, it would give students exposure to a wide range of IT skills and also offer a complete GIS curriculum as standard for all modules.
CIMAT has tied up with Technopark-based Geotrans Technologies Ltd to provide the curriculum, faculty and software for the course. The programme will be open for admission from October 17 and the intake will be 25 students.
GIS integrates hardware, software, and data for capturing, managing, analysing and displaying all forms of geographically referenced information.
CIMAT is promoted by the Kerala State Cooperative Bank. It currently offers MBA programme of the University of Kerala with the approval of AICTE.
