ISB&M set to expand

International School of Business and Media (ISB&M) Kolkata - counterpart of ISB&M-Pune, is planning for a major expansion in the city, informed Sudhi Ranjan Dey, director-Kolkata campus.
 
"ISB&M looking for land for setting up its own campus and it is expected to be in Salt Lake, ", said Dey. At present, ISB&M-Kolkata operated from rented premises.
 
ISB&M was planning to set another campus in Bangalore latest by 2006 in addition to existing campuses at Pune, Kolkata and New Delhi. ISB&M said its placement structure was different from other B-schools.
 
"Instead of the usual two-month summer internship for business management students, ISB&M students go for a eighth months programme . They are sent after one year of study by which more than 80 per cent of the curriculum is completed and the remaining project work can be done by the student while working", said Dey.
 
The ISB&M post-graduate programme in management (PGPM) offered dual specialisation from available specilisation in retail management, sales and marketing, financial services and insurance, and PGP in media management.
 
"Out of 47 existing students in PGPM course, several students have already got offer for internship ", said Dey. ISB&M is affiliated to Edinburg Business School for online MBA course.
 
It will be hosting its first inter B-school meet named 'Jamboree'.
