In its attempt to partner with an EQUIS certified institute, the Korea University Business School is in talks with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A). The B-school is contemplating options like dual-degree programs or student exchange programs with IIM-A.
Hasung Jang, dean, Korea University Business School, said: “Since IIM-A is also an EQUIS certified institute, we are in talks with the institute for some kind of partnership. In our talks, we are contemplating options like dual degree programs or student exchange programs.”
Jang was at IIM-A for a lecture on ‘Corporate Governance in Asia’ organised by IIM-A and SAGE Publications.
The Korea University Business School is also planning to encourage joint case studies and research work between the two institutes. “There have been some success stories of Korean companies in India. We are also talking about conducting joint case studies or research in these areas. Examples like Tata, Infosys and Samsung can be taken up for case studies or research work,” he said.
“If companies in Asian countries have to overcome the current financial meltdown, they will have to strictly adhere to corporate governance in terms of transparency and accountability,” he added.
