Flipkart has awarded its digital mandate to Dentsu Webchutney. The agency will handle the e-commerce portal's online campaigns. The win widens the scope for the agency to be involved across online campaigns, social media and formulating digital strategies for Flipkart. The agency will collaborate with the digital marketing and strategy teams at the e-commerce company.

A clean victory

In a multi-agency pitch, Rediffusion Y&R won the creative duties of Hygia, an advanced sanitisation and disinfection service, from the RKS Group. The account will be handled from the agency's Delhi office. Rediffusion Y&R's clientele includes Tata Motors, ITC, Eveready, Nano, Taj Hotels, Bank of India and SBI Mutual Fund.

Climbing the ladder

Software and technology solutions provider SAP has appointed Deb Deep Sengupta as the new managing director for the Indian subcontinent to drive its growth strategy and operations in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Prior to this, Sengupta was the chief operating officer for SAP, Indian subcontinent, where he worked in sales and operations.

A rejig on the cards

McCann Worldgroup India has announced some key changes at the management level. It has appointed Govind Pandey as its chief operating officer while Sanjay Nayak, president, has quit the agency to join a start-up. Govind Pandey had previously held the position of president, McCann Advertising. Meanwhile, Alok Lall, executive director, McCann Worldgroup, will take on national level responsibilities at McCann Advertising.

Welcome aboard

Whirlpool India appointed Sunil D'Souza as managing director. D'Souza will join the company from PepsiCo where he headed its VIMAPS business unit based out of Malaysia. In his 15 years with PepsiCo, D'Souza held senior management positions in Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and India.
