One out of five stocks from the BSE-500 has bounced back more than 4% from intra-day’s low after a recovery in the market. Nearly 153 stocks from the BSE-500 index rallied up to 12% after the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex gain more than 400 points.
Jubilant Life Sciences, Rajesh Exports and Titagarh Wagons surged over 10%, while Steel Authority of India, Granules India, Dishman Pharmaceuticals, Marksans Pharma, JSW Energy, DLF, Tata Elxsi and Force Motors recover more than 8% from their intra-day’s low.
At 02:17 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 415 points at 25,309, recovering 475 points from intra-day low of 24,834 touched in early morning trade.
In past one-month, the benchmark index tanked 12% or 3,342 points from 28,237 on August 7, to 24,894 on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, due to heavy selling by the foreign institutional investors (FIIs). The overseas investors sold equity shares net amounting of Rs 22,646 crore ($3.4 billion) during the period.
Among the sectoral classification, Realty and Consumer Durable index rebounds 5% and 4.4% respectively. Bankex, capital goods, metal and power indices were up 3%-4% from the day’s low.
