ABN Amro Mutual Fund Friday received the Sebi approval to change its name to Fortis Mutual Fund, the fund house said in a notice on Tuesday.
The name change has been effected, as there has been an indirect change in control of the mutual fund operations due to global restructuring of ABN AMRO Group, the notice said.
ABN AMRO Asset Management (India) would be renamed Fortis Investment Management (India), while ABN AMRO Trustee (India) would be called Fortis Trustee (India).
ABN AMRO prefix would be dropped and instead, Fortis would be prefixed for all schemes, the notice said.
Unit holders who have an objection to this change can redeemed their units anytime from Friday to November 9 without any exit load, the notice said.
However, exit option is not available to unit holders who have not completed the statutory three-year lock-in period in tax-saving plans.
