Aluminium prices moved up by Rs 0.60, or 0.64 per cent, to Rs 94.65 per kg in futures trade today, mostly supported by firming trend at physical markets and overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, aluminium for delivery in August contract rose by Rs 0.60, or 0.64 per cent, to Rs 94.65 per kg, with a turnover of 196 lots.

The metal for delivery in September contract also gained Rs 0.55, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 95.50 per kg, with a turnover of 32 lots.

Besides, strong spot demand at physical markets, firming trend in base metals overseas also attributed to the rise in aluminium prices at futures trade, analysts said.
