Asian markets end flat; Hang Seng down 1%

The Asian markets ended on a flat note today.

The Hang Seng declined 151 points or 1% to 20,906. The Nikkei added 50 points at 10,222.

The Shanghai Composite Index was down 15 points at 3,073.

The Seoul Composite Index added 1% at 1,615. The Straits Times and the Taiwan Weighted Index were marginally up at 2,779 and 7,598, respectively.

Asian markets are flat in morning trades. The Hang Seng has dropped 173 points to 20,899, while the Nikkei is up 11 points at 10,183.

The Taiwan Weighted has added 32 points to 7,610, Seoul Composite has moved up 19 points to 1,614 and Straits Times has advanced seven points to 2,781.

On the other hand, the Shanghai Composite has slipped seven points to 3,080.

The Shanghai Composite has slipped 11 points to 3,076.
