Asian markets end in red; Taiwan bucks trend

Asian markets have ended in red today. The Hang Seng dropped 54 points to 21,331. The Nikkei shed 104 points (1%) at 10,744.

The Seoul Composite and the Straits Times ended flat at 1,675 and 2,915, respectively.

However, the Taiwan Weighted added 39 points to 7,886.

The Hang Seng is flat at 35 points at 21,418. The Nikkei is marginally down at 10,813.

The Straits Times and the Seoul Composite Index are flat at  2,924 and 1,680, respectively.

The Taiwan Weighted Index is up 1% at 7,915.

The Asian markets are flat in opening trades.

Hang Seng is quoting at 21,381, lower by two points and Nikkei is at 10,823, down 23 ponts.

Straits Times is at 2,914, down four points, while Seoul Composite is at 1,686, higher by three points and Taiwan Weighted is at 7,881, up 33 points.
